Hi! I would like to clarify if I am entitled to Clothing Allowance even if I'm on an approved Work-From-Home (WFH) Arrangement.

From January to August 2023, I have an approved WFH Arrangement in the University due to my medical situation, and was hired since 2020.

The release date of Clothing Allowance was on March 2023.

In connection, am I eligible to claim clothing allowance for the FY 2023?

Dear Jeremiah Estrada,

Greetings!

This refers to your inquiry as regards your entitlement to Uniform/Clothing Allowance (U/CA) for FY 2023.

The rules and regulations on the grant of U/CA is prescribed under Budget Circular No. 2018-1.  

In accordance with Item 8.1 of the aforesaid Circular,  “the full rates of the U/CA for full-time and part-time service shall be granted to those who are already in government service and are to render services for at least six (6) months in a particular fiscal year, including leaves of absence with pay”.

Attached is a copy of the aforesaid Circular for your ready reference.
