Perhaps it is already time for the teachers to get the salary they deserve, a higher and more justifiable one. Since it is them who teaches and molds professionals to what they are right now. It is them who sacrifice a lot and do more job compared to other professions.

I just want to know how much is the allotted budget for them. Thank you.

Thank you for your request dated May 23, 2019 02:00:06 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Budget allotted for the salary of  teachers in the country.

Response to Request

We were able to determine that your request is not available online, hence, we are providing you the information covering the current year (FY 2019).

Under the FY 2019 General Appropriations Act (RA 11260), the amount of P353 Billion is appropriated for the salary of teachers numbering around 844,000 for school year 2019-2020, with salary rates, to wit: Teacher I (SG-11) P20,754.00; Teacher II (SG-12) P22,938.00; Teacher III (SG-13) P25,232.00; Master Teacher I (SG-18) P40,637.00; Master Teacher II (SG-19) P45,269.00; Master Teacher III (SG-20) P51,155.00. Said amount does not include the Personnel Economic Relief Allowance (PERA) of P2,000.00 given each on a monthly basis.
