I would like to request for the Excel (xlsx) version of the National Expenditure Program from 1994-2016 to be able to compute the appropriations utilization index (API) of national government agencies. This will be used as part of our study on the bureaucracy's capability to execute programs and projects.

You asked for National Expenditure Program 1994-2016 Excel File.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved.

Please be informed that the Excel version of the NEP are only presented for the years 2015 and 2016.  On the other hand, PDF files are available for FYs 2008 – 2014 while HTML format for FYs 2004 – 2007. The periods mentioned can be accessed and downloaded from the DBM website (dbm.gov.ph). Kindly click “Budget Documents” and choose the particular year of the NEP.

In the case of FYs 2003 and below, soft copies are not provided, however, the NEP documents are available at the DBM Library, which is open for researchers from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm.
