Hi, I would just like to ask if faculty members of state colleges and university are allowed research incentives for having been successful in the publication of their research work to international journals? There is an approved Board of Trustees resolution allowing the grant of the research incentive. Is this allowed? Are there available guidelines allowing the grant of said incentive?Thank you!

Dear Ms.  San Jose,


This refers to your query on whether there are existing DBM guidelines which provide for the grant of research incentives to faculty members of state universities and colleges whose research work are published in international journals.

Per our perusal of the existing compensation issuances, we have not come across of any issuance which authorizes the grant of research incentives to faculty members.
