Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Aug 23, 2022 08:13:30 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your inquiry is regarding the entitlement of a newly-hired employee to the FY 20222 Uniform/Clothing Allowance (U/CA) .

May we note that Budget Circular No. 2018-1 prescribes the guidelines on the grant of U/CA.  Corollary, Item 9.1 thereof defines the applicable rule in the case of newly-hired employees.

Attached is a copy of the Circular for your perusal.

Can you explain further this statement "if expected to render services for at least six (6) months for the rest of the year."  Should the employee need to render another 6 months after complying with the 1st 6 months or from the date of release of the allowance? Thank you.
