In recent consultations conducted by our organization under the ‘SK as G-Watch’ project, we were informed by SK leaders that they have not yet received their budget since assuming office in 2018. As an organization aiming to strengthen and empower the SK in accountability, we are concerned about this news and would like to ask for an explanation from your good office why there is such a huge delay, along with our appeal for an expedited release of funds of the SK. 

Please find attached our formal letter about the matter. Thank you and we are looking forward to your response.

You asked for Requesting agency explanation on SK Budget.

Response to Request

I have enclosed a copy of the DBM-DILG-NYC JMC No. 1, s. 2019 containing the guidelines on the appropriations, release, planning, and budgeting process for the SK Funds. Please note that on DBM side, we are pleased to inform you that the FY 2019 IRA for the barangays, which is part of the sources for the general fund, was already released to the barangays. However, please note that the barangays are subject to abide by the process stated in the aforementioned guidelines in regards to downloading of funds from the barangay to the SK.
