You are requesting for a copy of the existing guidelines on the highest positions below the assistant department heads in LGUs.
As regards your concern, you may wish to peruse Chapter 9 of the Manual on Position Classification and Compensation under DBM Circular Letter No. 2007-6 dated February 19, 2007. A copy of the manual may be downloaded from our website www.dbm.gov.ph.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Regarding the Chapter 9 of the Manual on Position Classification and Compensation, it is stated that for 4th class municipalities the limit of salary grade allocation for highest level of positions below the Assistant Department Heads is SG-16 however, per DBM LBC 53-1993, the highest salary grade level limit is SG 15. May we request for the copy of the Local Budget Circular used as reference for the Manual on Position Classification and Compensation? Or any issuances amending the DBM LBC 53-1993? Is the DBM Circular Letter No. 2007-6 the amendment of the previously issued LBC? Thank you very much for clarifying.
