Clarification regarding the limit of salary grade allocation for highest level of positions below the Assistant Department Heads for 4th Class Municipalities. In Chapter 9 of the DBM Manual the highest salary grade level limit is SG-16 however, per DBM LBC 53-1993, the SG Level limit is SG 15. What DBM issuances amends DBM LBC 53-1993 that changes the highest SG level limit for 4th class municipalities from SG15 to SG-16?

You asked for DBM LBC 53-1993 vs Chapter 9 of DBM Manual on Position Classification and Compensation.

Response to Request

May we highlight that the Manual on Position Classification and Compensation was issued under DBM Budget Circular No. 2007-4.  Thus, it is the more recent issuance compared with LBC No. 53 which was issued in CY 1993.
