Hi! Pursuant to Section 93 of Article XI of Republic Act 9165, The Board shall have the power to reclassify, add to or remove from the list of dangerous drugs. May I know if there has been any proceedings to reclassify or remove cannabis as a dangerous drug, either initiated by PDEA, DOH or petitioned by any interested party? If yes, may I have copies of all relevant documents on the proceedings? Thanks.

Dear Henrie Enaje,

Greetings!

This is in reference to your previous request, asking if there have been any proceedings to reclassify or remove cannabis as a dangerous drug.

As of the moment, there are no proposals or proceedings to reclassify cannabis. Right now, it remains a prohibited substance under Republic Act No. 9165.
