Hi good day! I would like to request the list of blacklisted American citizens who are banned to visit the Philippines. My friend was involved in a robbery in 2017 in North Dakota and he will be cleared to be free by May 19, 2021. I need to know if he is still on the blocked list and how long he has to wait. Thank you.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. However, you may wish to contact the Bureau of Immigration at (632) 8-527-3248 or (632) 8-465-2400, or resubmit your request addressed to the correct agency on the eFOI portal. Nonetheless, we would like to advise you that requests pertaining to the inquiry to private affairs of individuals are included in the list of exemptions to the FOI and are likely to be denied in accordance to the implementing rules and regulations of the FOI Program.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to oscr.div2@dfa.gov.ph.
