Hi! I would like to ask  if there is already a DFA Legal Opinion on the legality of land acquisition by foreign embassies for the purpose of building diplomatic offices. If so, may I request a copy of such legal opinion.

1. Are foreign embassies exempted from the ban on purchase of real properties by foreign nationals under Philippine law?

2. Have there been cases where foreign embassies been allowed to purchase private land in order to establish their diplomatic offices?
