In reference with our request for a copy of the Foreign Service Circular (FSC) and/or Department Order (DO) regarding the classifications of 9(E) visas dated 25 May 2023 with FOI request ticket number: #DFA-228607305608 and in compliance with your recommendations sent via email, we would like to respectfully submit the following additional information for your further reference:
1. The FSC and/or DO shall serve as our legal basis to create new and/or updated policies for:
1.1. Modification of our systems to include the new classifications of 9(E)
visas;
1.2. Improvement of data gathering & analysis concerning the number of
arriving and/or departing foreigners who were granted 9(E) visa status;
1.3. Information dissemination among our frontline Officers regarding the
proper data entry of arriving & departing foreigners with 9(E) visas;
1.4. Amendment or repealing of existing guidelines in the treatment of
foreigners with 9(E) visas.
2. The FSC and/or DO shall also assist our research initiatives through proper identification of a foreign national's specific 9(E) category in accordance with the aforementioned requested guidelines.
