Hi, I would like to request information regarding my lost passport. My lost valid passport was found recently but I already report it to DFA, filed new application and paid for it. It is under now 15 days clearing. Is my payment refundable if I cancel my new application for passport?

Response to your request

Please be advised that your request cannot be categorized as an FOI request. 

As mentioned in the Terms and Conditions on the DFA Passport Appointment website, all fees are non-refundable and fees shall be forfeited for applicants who cancel their appointment. 

You may wish to contact the Office of Consular Affairs for more information at (02) 8-836-7745 or (02) 8-836-7747 or via oca.passport@dfa.gov.ph.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to opcd.div2@dfa.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
