December 3, 2021 Dear Mr. Reyes, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Nov 30, 2021 10:23:08 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for the Secretary of National Defense Travel History and Quarantine Observance Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office cannot provide the information you have requested due to the following reasons: a. The travel itinerary of the SND to Europe concerns defense-related matters, hence, it is a national security issue which cannot be revealed. b. The SND’s quarantine facility is considered restricted and confidential. c. Medical records after travel are confidential and covered by the Data Privacy Act. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to the Undersecretary of National Defense who heads the Central Appeals and Review Committee. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
