Hello,

I am Kristina Badec an instructor of USTP Cagayan de Oro and currently a PhD student specializing in Sustainable Energy Transition. My study is focused on energy efficiency opportunities in commercial buildings through energy benchmarking.
I understand commercial buildings are required to submit annual energy utilization report under the EEC law. From that report, I would like to request from your good office for monthly electricity consumption data of commercial buildings Type 1. Specifically, data from buildings in Metro Manila area.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jan 15, 2024 08:17:28 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

This refers to your requested information regarding Designated Establishments under the Commercial sector in Metro Manila Area. 

Please be informed that DEs are mandated to submit their annual energy consumption and conservation reports to the DOE every 15th of April. Please refer to the following information based on the 2023 compliance of DEs covering CY2022:

Total Electricity Consumption of Type 1 DE in NCR = 147,655,674.61 kWh

Total no. of Type 1 DE in NCR = 592
