Dear Andrei Pabellano,

This refers to your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Malampaya Natural Gas Price.

Currently, the Malampaya Natural Gas Project supplies four (4) power plant customers based on a Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (GSPA).  All natural gas delivered shall be paid for at the Prevailing Contract price applied to the Gross Calorific Value of the Natural Gas.  The Seller calculates a price in USD per gigajoule (GCV) as outlined in the GSPA.

The DOE is not privy to the discussions and negotiations by and between contracting parties in the GSPA and as such, information related thereto are proprietary in nature.  

While the DOE is aware of the information, this should not be disclosed to any person, in whole or in part, by any party receiving it under the agreement without the prior written consent of the contracting parties.

As much as we want to answer your query, we regret to inform you that we cannot provide you with the price of Malampaya Natural Gas due to confidentiality.
