Reduce Electricity Bill

Requested from DOE by K. Aromin at 05:51 PM on Sep 29, 2021.
Purpose: Reduce Electricity Consumption Bill
Date of Coverage: 09/29/2021 - 09/29/2021

Hi this is Kimberly Trias Aromin asking for your help regarding our electricity bill. I have been positive with covid and because of that I stop working as I need to Isolate myself and boost my immune system. My husband who is working fulltime was forced to stop working to take care of our 1 year old son. His leave credits are all used and all the absences starting the day I got positive will not get paid. I can't even work on my part time job to help with the bills. We cannot pay our bills in due time because of this. Please give us at least a discount on our bill

Good day, Ms. Aromin.

Greetings!

Thank you for reaching out to the Department of Energy regarding your concern.

We regret to inform you that the DOE is not in the position to grant discounts on electricity bill. However, we advise all electricity consumers who are still unable to pay their bills to coordinate with their DUs to enter into socially equitable and manageable payment terms to prevent eventual disconnection of electricity services.

If you have more questions or further clarifications, you may reach the ERC Consumer Affairs Service at their contact details below:
Email address: erc.consumer@gmail.com
Landline numbers: (02) 8689-5389, (02) 8689-5338, (02) 8687-5577

Please note that it is the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) that is in charge of the electric industry's rate and service regulation functions, which also focuses on two primary responsibilities (Sec. 41, RA 9136):
•	handling of consumer complaints, and
•	ensuring the adequate promotion of consumer interests

Thank you and stay safe.

Respectfully,
