Your Request

You asked for impact of extreme temperatures on solar power generation.

Response to Request

The Department of Energy has no consolidated data on the requested technical parameters. May we refer you to the Global Solar Atlas, Department of Science and Technology, and Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines for the above data. According to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), the Philippines has an average solar irradiance of 161.7 watts per square meter. This translates to a potential power generating capacity of 4.5-5.5 kWh per square meter per day.
