Dear Mark Andrae C.  Rabin,

Greetings!

This refers to your request for the average electricity consumption of public schools in rural areas.

Data on primary and secondary level schools are still under propagation starting this year.

Prior to the effectivity of Republic Act 11285, reporting under the Government Energy Management Program was not mandatory. The IRR of RA 11285 became effective on December 2019.

With respect to your request, may we provide the sample information from select State Universities and Colleges. Kindly see attached file (SUC Electricity Consumption).

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi at sec.alfonsocusi@gmail.com. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
