Hi DOE,

I would like to request data on power generation and consumption per fuel type from 2019 to 2020. If possible, a categorisation of grid and distributed renewable energy sources would be helpful for my research. I am currently doing research on the impact of COVID19 to renewable energy adoption in the Philippines.

Response to your request

We were able to determine that this particular information is already available online. You may refer to the 2019 Gross Generation by Plant Type posted on the DOE website at https://www.doe.gov.ph/sites/default/files/pdf/energy_statistics/2019_power_statistic_03_gross_generation_per_plant_Type_per_grid.pdf. 

As for the 2020 Power Generation data, we regret to inform you that the Department cannot provide publicly available information as of the moment. 

Further, you may also wish to refer to the Power Statistics posted on the DOE website at https://www.doe.gov.ph/energy-statistics/philippine-power-statistics for other information available.
