Your Request

You asked for mass and energy balance diagram.

Response to Request

This refers to your request requesting for sample of mass and energy balance (MEB) diagram for waste-to-energy (WTE).

We wish to inform you that there are several conversion process for municipal solid waste (biodegradable and residual components) to produce electricity and steam such as Direct Combustion, Bio-methanation, Gasification and among others. As such, the mass and energy balance (MEB) diagram depends on the energy output, design and type of technology that will be employed by the RE Developer in its proposed WTE plant projects. However, the Department may not provide a detailed MEB diagram for a WTE plant.

Nonetheless, below is a sample MEB diagram showing basic components and input/output details for WTE system using direct combustion technology for reference.

Your right to request a review
