Dear Sir,

I would like to request for the data on electricity generation (per Grid, by Ownership) and electricity sales and consumption (per grid, by sector) from 1980 to 2020. The only available data in the DOE website is from 2003. Also, I would like to request if the monthly data from the same time period is available. I would like to point out that the annual and total monthly data for the electricity generation are not equal.

You asked for Power Statistics: Generation & Sales and Consumption.

Response to your request

Regarding the data request, we can only provide what is readily available from our database as posted on the Power Statistics webpage of the DOE website through this link: (https://www.doe.gov.ph/energy-statistics/philippine-power-statistics?ckattempt=1).  

Please note that the dataset from DOE starts upon the passage of the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA) in 2001, which transferred the duties and responsibilities on power planning and development from the National Power Corporation (NPC) to the DOE - Electric Power Industry Management Bureau (EPIMB).

For data prior EPIRA (2001), you may coordinate directly with NPC.  As for the inconsistency mentioned, we appreciate your feedback and we will review said data and make sure there are no discrepancies in what we publish.
