Your Request

You asked for List of 27 DOH regional hospitals identified to be Geriatric Centers 17 & health centers.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. 
      - The Philippine Health Facility Development Plan lays out the development of priority health facilities across the continuum of care towards the realization of the provisions in the Universal Health Care Act. Included in this plan is the development of hospitals providing specialty care such as geriatric care. The direction of DOH is to establish Specialty Centers by designating existing DOH hospitals across the country to be capacitated in specialty care. This strategy would enable the government to maximize its limited resources while ensuring the provision of specialty care services to all. The list of designated Geriatric Care Specialty Centers is provided in the DOH Department Order No. 2021-0001 Designation of Specialty Centers. (bit.ly/DOH20210001-SpecialtyCenters)
