I would like to request the data/information regarding of the ff:
1. Do the DSWD and DOH have any program or project related to the Persons with Intellectual & Learning Disabilities (mental retarded)? Can you cite those programs.
2. May I know the statistics of persons with mental retarded in the philippines by its type. (Autism, ADHD, Celebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Emotional Disturbance,etc)
3. Also, the statistics by region of the philippines

Good day!
Thank you for replying. It will be a big help if you can help and guide me for my proposed project relating Mental Retardation. It's been 25 days since I wrote my request, can I asked when do I can get the information I requested? I already visited DOH Main and DSWD Main and asked for the guidance to get those data I needed for accomplishing my project but I don't get anything. I am from Cavite, the travel time from Cavite to Quezon was 4 hours with traffic. Hope you can help us for our further research relating our thesis topic about Rehabilitation Center with Intellectual and Learning Disabilities (Mental Retardation). Good day!
Thank you for replying. I still need the data I requested. It will be a big help if you can help and guide us regarding our thesis project entitled “An Integrated Therapeutic Built Environment for Special Youth". The information we acquired will be a great help to our thesis.
We are aiming to build a facility that will provide care and rehabilitation to abandoned and neglected children with Special Needs such as cerebral palsy, autism, ADHD, and other related disorders. It involves different therapies and activities to help them to be reliable, dependable or even independent of help and assistance. The assistance and guidance you will give will be a big help in the success of our thesis project and the children who will need our help. This project will be handled by the government if it is approved. Hope you can help us.

You asked for Sheltered Worshop for Persons with Intellectual and Learning Disabilities.
Response to your request
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested.
We regret to inform you that as far as the Children's Health Development Division (CHDD) is concerned, we do not have a specific program of intellectual and/or learning disability. This is also known as general learning disability and mental retardation.
However, if it would be of any help, you may inquire to the Department of Education (DepEd) if they have any relative data on this specifically on their Alternative Learning System (ALS) Program.
As for the request on the statistics of person with mental retardation, DOH does not collect these data and thereby cannot provide any statistics being requested.
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Undersecretary Lilibeth David, Chair of Data Governance Oversight Committee/ DOH Central Appeals and Review Committee, medatagov.doh@gmail.com.
