You asked for Region 3 Existing Numbers of Hospital Beds.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved.

Below are the responses to your eFOI Requests 

1. May I request a copy of total hospital beds in Region 3. (By Province)
- The total number of Authorized Bed Capacity (ABC) per region is provided in the List of Licensed Government and Private Hospitals which is publicly accessible on the official website of the Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau at https://hfsrb.doh.gov.ph/list-of-licensed-health-facilities/

2. A copy of Hospital Bed needed for Orthopedic Care (Musculoskeletal illness)
- The DOH does not warrant a standard and/or minimum number of beds for orthopedic care in a hospital. The allocation of beds in a hospital can be based on the actual and projected caseload of the hospital.

3. Required Land Area for Level 3 Hospital & Required Land Area for Level 2 Hospital
- The DOH does not warrant a minimum land area for hospitals per level and follows the requirements set forth in pertinent laws and regulations. Requirements for lot size and conditions should comply with the provisions of pertinent laws such as the National Building Code of the Philippines, Revised Fire Code of the Philippines, and other relevant Local Government Codes with jurisdiction over the proposed sites.
