Dear DIANO Mae Ann M.,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Dec 13, 2023 12:44:44 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for EMERGENCY FACILITY.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. Here are the answers provided by Health Facility Development Bureau:

  EMERGENCY FACILITY
1. Space requirements and rooms for emergency clinic.
An Emergency Unit (EU) OR Emergency Department(ED)is a specialized area in the hospital that provides initial treatment for patients requiring immediate medical or surgical attention. In the Philippine setting, there is no stand-alone EU or ED. The space requirement included in the Manual of Standards and Guidelines on the Management of The Hospital Emergency Department, Second Edition, covers standards for an EU/ED of a hospital but not for an emergency clinic.

2. List of services an emergency clinic should offer
      - To reiterate, the abovementioned ED Manual provides standards for an EU/ED of a hospital. Refer to Chapter 2 of the ED Manual for the services offered in the EU/ED of a hospital. It may be accessed through the link provided here: https://bit.ly/DOHHFDBManuals.

3. LA PAZ, Agusan del Sur floor area of their emergency clinic
      - The ownership or architectural plans such as floor plans, indicating the floor area of a structure, is under the person/juridical entity who commissioned the design professionals. The design professionals engaged by the project owners also retain the intellectual proprietary rights of the project documents. Please request these documents and information directly to the owner of the existing health facility or the design professional/s who signed the said architectural documents.
