You asked for Alcohol Consumption per Region 2018-2022.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved.

We are sending you the 2022 binge drinkers data available in the Field Health Services Information System (FHSIS). The data for the previous years are available at the DOH website: https://www.doh.gov.ph/publications/serials (FHSIS Annual Reports > Non-Communicable Diseases > Lifestyle Related Diseases). However, the 2018 data is not available in the FHSIS reports.

Definition: refers to the number of adults 20 years old and above who are binge drinkers among the total number of adults 20 years old and above who were risk-assessed using the PhilPEN protocol

Binge Drinkers are those who drink whether habitual or not:

Male: 5 or more standard drinks in a row (in 1 sitting)
Female: 4 or more standard drinks in a row (in 1 sitting)
