1. Studies on how the facemask prevent the virus.

2. Science based investigation of efficacy of wearing facemask against viruses.

3. Long term effect on long wearing facemask

You asked for Microplastics on Facemasks.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. 

As we have mentioned on your previous eFOI Request, please be advised that the FDA does not have any information on the studies on how facemasks protect viruses, efficacy of using facemasks against viruses, or the long-term
effects of wearing facemasks. We advise you to inquire with the DOST regarding these research studies on face masks.
