Good day!

In many countries, Australia, USA, and now also South Africa the contracts between the government and Pfizer and other vaccine producers are public now.

1. Are there similar contracts between the Philippine government and Pfizer, and other manufacturers? Yes or No?

2. If yes, what is the content of these contracts regarding liability, price, and information on possible side effects?

3. If no, what is the legal basis for buying new stocks now?

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have  the information you have requested.

As highlighted in the DOH Legal Service Memorandum, it is crucial to clarify that the office is not privy to any contracts related to the Government of the Philippines. Their function is to review and negotiate the legal aspects of documents and does not engage in the facilitation of signing and execution with suppliers. Consequently, the Legal Service is unable to provide the requested information or address the queries posted
