Greetings,
I am Maica Mae C. Victorino, an Architecture Student from Technological Institute of the Philippines and I'm working on a thesis about a proposed mental health facility. I'm a bit confused about something and I would like to ask the following questions.
1. What are the criteria of a mentally ill patients in order to admit in a BCC facility?
2. What kinds of mentally ill patients are not applicable to receive treatment and admit in a BCC facility?
3. What kind of services does a BCC facility offers? (e.g laboratory, radiology, emergency , and surgical services (answer applicable)

You asked for Basic Comprehensive Center (BCC) (MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY).
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved.
We would like to reiterate our response to your previous eFOI Request (#DOH-472234334575) that the attending physician of the patient shall determine the appropriate level of health facility that should manage and treat the patient based on the services and capacity of the designated Mental Health Care facilities. You may reach out to mental health physician practitioners for further details and/or clarification relative to this concern. You may also refer to the Clinical Practice Guidelines developed by various institutions for mental health concerns.
The services in a Basic Comprehensive Center (BCC) are provided in the Resource Stratified Framework for Mental Health Facilities, included as annex in the Department Order No. 2021-0001 Designation of Selected DOH Hospitals as Specialty Centers which we have already provided you as well in our previous response.
