Your Request
You asked for List of Mortality and Morbidity diseases in each Province in Region III and Region IV from 2020-2022.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved.
We are sending you the following available data at the RESU/FHSIS Office of DOH regional Office 3
1. Morbidity cases for Region 3 2020 - 2022
2. Areas in Central Luzon that lacked hospitals/health care facilities that are currently needed. (Coordinated with HFEP, letter already sent to client)
The Office of the President recently issued Memorandum Circular No. 26 entitled, "Adopting the
Philippine Health Facility Development Plan (PHFDP) 2020 - 2040, Directing All National
Government Agencies and Instrumentalities, and Encouraging Local Government Units, to
Undertake Efforts in Support Thereof" The PHFDP was adopted to guide local government units
(LGU) in determining the number of health facilities that they needed in their areas. The PHFDP
can be accessed through the link, bit.ly/PHFDP2020_2040.
According to the PHFDP, Central Luzon needs the following health facilities and services by 2040:
a. Barangay Health Stations - 1,039 (estimated gap)
b. Primary Care Facilities - 730
c. Level 1 Hospital Beds - 30,054
d. Level 2 Hospital Beds - 12,079
e. Level 3 Hospital Beds - 13,274
f. X-ray machines- 637
g. CT Scan machines-98
h. MRI machines - 30
i. LINAC - 41
This data is being validated and updated at the regional and local levels. The Central Luzon Center for Health Development (CLCHD) drafted and disseminated the Regional Health Facility Development Plan (RHFDP) accessible at bit.ly/CentralLuzonRHFDP. The RHFDP further
assists LGU s in drafting their Local Health Facility Development Plan (LHFDP), which includes the actual location of planned health facilities based on other factors such as availability of lot.
