You asked for Chain and Independent Pharmacies Criteria.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. 

As of this moment, we have no existing guidelines that stipulate the definition of independent vs. chain drugstores or pharmacies. Fortunately, this was raised in one of FDA's public consultations and will be included in the revised Administrative Order entitled "Rules and Regulations Prescribing the Requirements and Procedures in the Application for License to Operate of Covered Health Product Establishments with the Food and Drug Administration Repealing for the Purpose Administrative Order No. 2020-0017
