September 8, 2022 Dear Ancel Rei Acuna, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Sep 04, 2022 08:53:50 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Supply and Demand of Peptone in the Philippines. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. Please be informed that we not have the requested data/information as we do not monitor the supply and demand of the Peptone. The FDA's mandate to ensure safety, efficacy and quality of health products through issuance of market authorizations (License to Operate and Certificate of Product Registration, among others) and conduct of Post Marketing surveillance. Thus, we can only provide information or list of FDA registered products containing the aforementioned ingredients. Based on the FDA Verification Portal, there are no peptone products available: 1. Peptone as a food supplement and 2. Peptone as a raw material. We also highly encourage the public to utilize the use of the FDA Verification Portal at https://verification.fda.gov.ph/Home.php for ease of verification of FDA licensed establishments and registered food products.
