Your FOI request is approved.
Below are the responses to your requests
1. What is the goal of the Self-Reliance Project?
The Vaccine Self-Reliance Project aims to design and operate cGMP production facilities, adopt new technologies in vaccine manufacturing development, and accelerate local production of vaccines to support the National Immunization Program (NIP).
2. How is the project being implemented?
The VSRP Pre-Feasibility Study was conducted in 2021, and RITM is currently working on the Feasibility Study of the project.
3. What is the expected output?
As part of the objective of the project, the VSRP is expected
to establish a Vaccine Manufacturing Facility in the
Philippines.
4. How is the project being funded?
The Vaccine Self-Reliance Project Pre-Feasibility study was
conducted and funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB)
through Asia Pacific Project Preparation Facility (AP3F).
While the feasibility study is submitted to the Public-Private
Partnership Center.
