Your Request

You asked for Linear Accelerator (LINAC).

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. 
      - These requested lists are publicly available in the official website of the food and Drug Administration (FDA) , the office responsible for authorizing the operation of all the radiation facilities in the Philippines. You may access through the downloadable page of the official website of the FDA which contains Information Education  and Communication Materials, particularly those issued by the Center for Device Regulation, Radiation, Health and Research. Included therein are the relevant issuances of the DOH pertaining to radiation facility authorization. 

Facilities with linear accelerators (LINAC) are classified as therapeutic X-ray facilities and designated at least as Level 3 radiotherapy facilities (DOH AO 2013-0031), or with capability for intensity-modulated radiotherapy. The FDA website provides a list of public and private therapeutic X-ray facilities granted a license to operate (LTO), including the level of these facilities. Also posted are separate documents for other types of X-gray facilities granted LTO and certificate of compliance. Indicated in these lists are facilities that have specialized authorization, including for positron emission tomography-computerized tomography (PET-CT).
