November 1, 2022 Dear Adrianne Tobias, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Oct 22, 2022 04:14:41 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for TB Mortality, by Region (2020, 2021). Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. The DOH Disease Prevention and Control Bureau (DPCB) monitors the tuberculosis cascade of care through the Integrated Tuberculosis Information System (IT IS). However, ITIS data on mortality is limited to those who have died (for any reason) during the course of treatment. Data on deaths due to tuberculosis may be obtained from the deaths registered through the Philippine Statistics Authority. Thank you For any clarifications or inquiries regarding this matter, you may contact DPCB Adult Health Division through dpcbidd@doh.gov.ph or through local 2354. For further assistance you may review the FAQ section of the eFOI site: https://www.foi.gov.ph/help. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to the DOH Central Appeals and Review Committee, at foi@doh.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
