Hi, I would like to request if we have available datasets that details patient treatment history and the outcome of their inpatient stay. I'm studying what are the factors that contributes to patients with Diabetes to be readmitted.

Data of relevance are as follows:

> General Information - Gender, Age, Weight, etc.
> Diagnosis - Primary, Secondary, Tertiary
> Laboratory Test Results - Blood Glucose Serum and HbA1c
> Medication Taken - Biguanides, Meglitinides, Sulfonylureas, Thiazolidinediones, Alpha Glucosidase Inhibitors, DPP4 Inhibitors, etc.)
> Outcome - Readmitted or not Readmitted

You asked for Patient Data to Analyze Diabetes Readmission.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. We regret to inform you that we cannot provide patient data as your requested information is in violation of the Data Privacy Act and this is also one of the exceptions of the Freedom of Information. 

We only have numbers of diabetes cases. If you need that data, then we would like to ask you to send a new eFOI request. 

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Undersecretary Lilibeth C. David, Chair of Data Governance Oversight Committee/ DOH Central Appeals and Review Committee, at foi@doh.gov.ph.
