- The Emergency Department (ED) is a specialized area in the hospital. Hence, you may refer to the list of hospitals available from the Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau (HFSRB) website.
2) Updated list of existing Freestanding Emergency Departments in the Philippines
- In the Philippines, there are no existing freestanding Emergency Departments. Please refer to the Manual of Standards and Guidelines on the Management of the Hospital Emergency Department, Second Edition, CY 2022.
3) Updated Development Plan of DOH in Region 5
- Please reach out directly to Bicol Center for Health Development regarding the details of their development plan.
4) Updated morbidity and mortality rate in Region 5
- Please be advised that we refer this item to Epidemiology Bureau. Awaiting for their response.
5) Updated design guidelines and requirements for freestanding emergency department.
6) List of space requirements and rooms for a freestanding emergency department.

- The abovementioned manual of standards for the emergency department is intended to provide guidance in the developmental standards in the hospitals which includes and is not limited to the infrastructure, spaces and design. Please refer to the Manual of Standards and Guidelines on the Management of the Hospital Emergency Department, Second Ediition, CY 2022.
8) Updated DOH design guidelines in response to COVID-19
- Please refer to the National Standards in Infection Prevention and Control for Health Facilities Manual, 3rd Edition and the Manual of Standards and Guidelines on the Management of the Hospital Emergency Department, Second Edition, CY 2022 as both manuals were revised in context of the COVID-19 pandemic experience.
