You asked for Reference Guide and Compendium of Standard Requirements in Establishing Laboratories.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved.

The DOH Office for Health Laboratories would like to note that a Reference Guide and Compendium of Standard Requirements in Establishing National Reference Laboratories (NRL's) do not exist

However, similar to the Reference Guide and Compendium of Standard Requirements for the establishment of TB Laboratories, these NRL's are aligned with the minimum requirements set by the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, and the Department of Health issuances such as:

1. Administrative Order No. 2021-0037 entitled New Rules and Regulations Governing the Regulation of Clinical Laboratories in the Philippines at the link below

https://hfsrb.doh.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/ao2021-0037-2.pdf

2. Department Order No. 2020-0820 entitled Institutionalizing and Strengthening the National Reference Laboratories in the Philippines
3. Other related regulations and guidelines
