Your Request

You asked for Cost Estimate of Building a Tertiary Level Laboratory.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. 

Estimated budgetary expenses related to establishing a Biological Safety Laboratory (BSL) level 3. According to Philippine construction costs, the ballpark figure per square meter for the development of a Health Care Facility (HCF) and other related infrastructure/s can range from P100,000 to P150,000 depending on the project requirements. Also, keep in mind that this estimate excludes specialty materials, furnishings and equipment.

Moreover, for the Design Professional Fee kindly refer to the "Architect's Guidelines for Standards of Professional Practice (SPP) - Methods of Compensation and Schedule of Fees" of the United Architects of the Philippines - Integrated and Accredited Professional Organizations of Architects (UAP-IAPOA) Document 210
