Dear Angela Mae Regis,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Nov 28, 2022 09:38:37 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for The number of reported diagnosed ADHD patients.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested.

As we have mentioned on your other eFOI Request #DOH-147569814370, we regret to inform you that DOH does not have statistics of people diagnosed with ADHD

Although ADHD can cause disability to an individual, there shall be a proper diagnosis by an attending physician or a psychiatrist to be included in the Philippine Registry for Persons with Disabilities (PRPWD). With the present version of the registry, the data being collected are only specific to the type of disability (e.g. intellectual, mental, psychosocial, etc.) and cause of disability (e.g. acquired, chronic illness, cancer, rare disease, etc.). The PRPWD doesn't have the feature to filter data specific to ADHD alone more so other specific disorders or diseases that led to disabilities otherwise included in the mentioned specific cause of disability. The Department doesn't have a registry for ADHD cases in the country.

You may coordinate with the ADHD Society of the Philippines at https://adhdsocphils.org/ for this request

Thank you
