I am Rachel Mae San Diego, a fourth year law student undertaking a thesis with the topic “Removal of persons afflicted with epilepsy in the provision of the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940 as person excluded from entry into the Philippines.”

It would be of great help if your humble office would provide me with data to ascertain the history of epilepsy and how it was greatly treated as a mental illness in the past when it is actually a neurological disorder.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office is only able to provide you mortality data on "Disease of the Nervous System" for 2014. You may view this in the Philippine Health Statistics Annual Report 2014 at https://www.doh.gov.ph/sites/default/files/publications/2014PHS_PDF.pdf
