I am Angel Cuales, currently in my 5th year of BS Architecture at New Era University. I would like to request the data needed for my undergraduate thesis, related to mental illness cases in NCR and Rizal Province (2015-2023):

You asked for Status of Mental Illness in NCR and Rizal Province.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved.
Please refer to the Mental Health Program at https://doh.gov.ph/national-mental-health-program for an overview of the services we provide and some materials we readily share. Rest assured that the Mental Health Division looks into these conditions in compliance with RA11036, otherwise known as the Mental Health Act, which encompassess mental, neurological and substance use (MNS) disorders.
Thank you for your interest in mental health. This is in response to your eFOI request (#DOH-247115080238) regarding your data request related to mental illness cases in NCR and Rizal Province (2015-2023), particularly the following:
1. Top 5 Highest case of Mental Illness in NCR and Rizal Province. - You may refer to the NSMHW for this.
2. Age: What age group is most affected by Mental Illness? In the meantime, the NSMHW provides an overview of the age group affected by a specific list of mental health conditions. There are also estimates available through the World Health Organization.
3. Statistics about the Mental Illness among Students: Elementary to College.
4. Common causes of Mental Illness among Students in NCR and Rizal Province.
We would like to share with you the draft terminal report (attached) of the National Survey for Mental Health and Wellbeing (NSMHW) to give us a picture of the mental health status of the country as a whole while we wait for the consolidation of electronic medical records of patients and as we improve our information systems. The study is a household survey that was commissioned by DOH to provide information on the state of mental health in the country while we improve our hospital data. You may refer to the CHDs for data if available. Attached is the directory of Centers for Health Development for your reference. You may ask in these offices for specific data. (NCR and Rizal).
