Hi. I would like to request the following information about glaucoma:

1. Number of Glaucoma Cases in the Philippines.
2. Number of people who became blind because of Glaucoma.
3. Retinal fundus images of the patients with Glaucoma.
4. Patients' information (sex, age, nationality, with or without family history of glaucoma)

You asked for Glaucoma Cases.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, please be informed that the Department of Health (DOH) does not have the information requested. However, you may request the information directly from Philippine Health Insurance Corporation since the Philhealth is the mandated government agency to collect data on Glaucoma cases. 

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Undersecretary Lilibeth C. David, Chair of Data Governance Oversight Committee / DOH FOI Central Appeals and Review Committee, at medatagov.doh@gmail.com Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
