Hi, I would like to know the annual number of trafficking victims by region for years 2016 to Present Day.
If possible, please provide further breakdowns/categorizations of the trafficking cases such as:
-Nationality of victim;
-Type of trafficking (OFW, overcharging/deception, unlicensed recruitment, sexual exploitation, minors, debt bondage);
-Details of prosecution of the alleged traffickers;
-Any support services granted to the trafficking victims, such as in kind assistance, legal support, or immunity;
-Any details of the alleged traffickers such as whether it was an employment agency,

Your Request
You asked for the Number of Certified Trafficking Victims by Region for Years 2016 to Present.
In coordination with the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), below is their response to your FOI inquiry:
1. List of data available: (attached)
a. No. of TIP cases filed in Court 2016-present, disaggregated by Region and type of trafficking
b. No. of Victims involved on TIP cases, disaggregated by Region, type of trafficking, and age & sex from 2016-present
c. No of Accused/Respondents charged of TIP, disaggregated by Region, status of accused, and gender from 2016 - present
d. No of TIP convictions, by cases, accused, and victims (decided from 2016 - present).
2. For the data on the assistance and support services granted to trafficking victims, IACAT Secretariat don't have complete data from 2016 - present. But kindly refer to the summary data on the assistance provided to trafficked victims through the Recovery and Reintegration Program for Trafficked Persons (RRPTP) provided in 2020. RRPTP is a comprehensive package of services for the individual victim-survivor of TIP, the immediate family and the community at large. The RRPTP has the following major program components: (1) capability enhancement for service provides; (2) direct services to trafficked persons; (3) upgrade of temporary shelters; (4) implementation of the National Referral System and updating and maintenance of the National Recovery and Reintegration Database; and (5) advocacy.
