Response to Request

We forwarded your FOI request to our Office of Cybercrime (OOC) and below is their reply:

This pertains to your request for assistance in answering the FOI request of Ms. Rose Alcalde.

You may advise her to send an email to our official email address if she needs legal advice.

If she needs investigation of the hacking incident, it would be best if she would personally file a formal complaint with our law enforcement agencies. A formal complaint is needed in order to initiate an investigation. Moreover, the DOJ-OOC is not a law enforcement agency pursuant to R.A. No. 10175 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

The normal course of action, therefore, is for her to file a complaint directly with the NBI - Cybercrime Division , 5th Floor VTEC Tower, 1257 Gregorio Araneta Ave., cor Maria Clara St., Sto Domingo, Quezon City or the Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Cybercrime Group, Camp Crame, Quezon City, as the primary law enforcers of the government.

Thank you and best regards,

Office of Cybercrime
