Good Day! I would like to verify if there is a pending criminal or civil case against me: Jan Wilmer Gasmeña y Salazar. I have been getting threats and I would like to have things resolved if there's anything that has been filed against me.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jan 13, 2023 01:35:22 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

The DOJ only has jurisdiction over the prosecution of criminal cases being an office under the Executive branch so it cannot answer the civil aspect of your inquiry. Moreover, the DOJ main office only has custody of cases filed before it and there may be cases filed against you in other city/provincial/regional prosecution offices. Considering this, we recommend that you coordinate with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to verify if you have a hit or none in your clearance.
