August 29, 2023 Dear Menchie Villanueva, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Aug 28, 2023 03:40:39 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for information about a certain Warrant of Arrest. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested because the DOJ does not issue Warrants of Arrest but only the courts. Please be informed that the DOJ is under the Executive Branch of Government while courts which issue arrest warrants are under the Judicial Branch of Government, these are two separate and different agencies. Moreover, you may also check with the NBI if your name has a hit to determine if you have a pending criminal case. The NBI is on-board the FOI platform as well where you can directly inquire if you have a pending criminal case. As for your arrest warrant concern from the courts, you may e-mail the Supreme Court (SC) at pio@sc.judiciary.gov.ph Thank you FOI Receiving Officer
