In 2021, the said case was taken cognizance by the CHR for investigation and was docketed as CHR-CAR Case No. 2021-0087 for Arbitrary Deprivation of Life of Atty. Victor Begtang Jr.

In relation to our mandate under the Constitution to request the assistance of any department, bureau, office, or agency of the government in the performance of our functions, may we be apprised of the latest status of the aforementioned case?
