Dear Ramon Fernandez,

Greetings!

This is to acknowledge receipt of your query through the FOI portal dated 17 December 2017, inquiring on impeachment case filed against Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno.

However, the Department is constrained to deny your query pursuant to the Memorandum of the Executive Secretary dated 24 November 2017, relative to the Inventory of Exceptions to Executive Order No. 2 (S. 2016).

Under item 9 (d) of the said memorandum, requests for information involving lists, abstracts, or summaries of information are not covered by the freedom of information when such lists, abstracts, or summaries are not part of duties of the government office requested.

The impeachment case filed against the Chief Justice does not fall within the purview of our good office. Hence, there are no available information within the Department regarding this matter.
